1. Who we are

The website vrh267.com is operated by BRIGHTWING7 LLC ("we", "us", "our"), the company that develops and operates VRH267, a mountain safety and hiking companion. BRIGHTWING7 LLC is the controller of the personal data described in this policy.

2. Scope of this policy

This policy covers only the website vrh267.com (all language versions and the pages linked from it on the same domain).

The VRH267 application and its related services process different personal data (for example location, activity, emergency contacts and optional health information). This policy does not apply to the application; the application's processing of personal data is described in a separate privacy notice for the application.

3. Summary

• This website does not use cookies, analytics, advertising, tracking pixels, fingerprinting or social media plugins.
• It does not offer accounts, forms or newsletters, and it does not ask you to enter personal data.
• All content — images, fonts, maps, terrain data and satellite imagery — is delivered from this website itself. Your browser does not contact third-party services while you browse it.
• The only personal data involved is the technical data that any web server must process to deliver the website (section 4), and anything you choose to send us by email (section 6).

4. Data processed when you visit the website

When you open vrh267.com, your browser sends technical information to the servers of our hosting provider. This is necessary to deliver the website and keep it secure:

Retention: server logs are kept by our hosting provider only for a limited period, in line with its own data-retention practices, for the purposes described above. We do not keep our own copies of these logs, unless this becomes necessary to investigate or defend against a specific security incident, and then only for as long as that investigation requires.

5. Settings evaluated only in your browser

To show the right version of the website, your browser checks settings such as your reduced-motion preference, screen size, pointer type, graphics support and approximate device performance. These checks choose animation and image quality settings. They take place only on your device; the results are not sent to us or to anyone else, and they are not stored.

The language version is determined by the address you open (vrh267.com for English, vrh267.com/sl/ for Slovenian). The language switch simply opens the other address; your choice is not remembered with cookies or similar technologies.

6. Contacting us by email

The website shows our email address, support@vrh267.com. Email links on the website open your own email program; nothing is transmitted to us until you decide to send the message. If you email us, we process:

• your name, if you provide it
• the content of your message and any information you include in it

Purpose: answering your inquiry and any follow-up.

Email provider: Webtasy, d.o.o. (Domenca), Dunajska cesta 110, 1000 Ljubljana, Slovenia, which hosts our mailbox and processes email on our behalf as our processor.

Retention: we keep your message and our replies only for as long as necessary to answer your inquiry and handle any related follow-up, and longer only where we are legally required to keep the correspondence or need it to establish, exercise or defend legal claims.

Please do not send us sensitive personal data, such as health information, by email.

7. Cookies and similar technologies

This website does not set cookies and does not use local storage, session storage or similar technologies. Because of this, no cookie banner is shown. If this changes, we will update this policy and, where required by law, ask for your consent first.

8. Links to other websites

The website contains links to other websites, for example image credits on unsplash.com. These links open only when you select them. Once you follow a link, the privacy policy of the other website applies, and we are not responsible for its data practices.

9. Recipients of personal data

We do not sell or rent personal data and we do not share it for advertising. Personal data is disclosed only:

• to our hosting provider and our email provider, acting on our behalf (sections 4 and 6), and
• where we are required to do so by law, or where necessary to establish, exercise or defend legal claims.

BRIGHTWING7 LLC is established in the United States.

• Hosting: Netlify, Inc. and the infrastructure providers it uses are located in the United States. Netlify, Inc. participates in the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework (including the UK Extension) and the Swiss-U.S. Data Privacy Framework. Transfers of personal data from the EU/EEA to Netlify are therefore based on the European Commission's adequacy decision for the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework.
• Email: our email provider, Webtasy, d.o.o., is established in Slovenia, in the European Union.

11. Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to:

• access the personal data we hold about you
• have inaccurate data corrected
• have your data deleted
• restrict the processing of your data
• object to processing based on our legitimate interests
• receive your data in a portable format, where applicable
• withdraw your consent at any time, where processing is based on consent
